20-month program to provide students with critical skill set to meet evolving business demands

CJEB core faculty member, Prof. Gerald Curtis, Burgess Professor Emeritus of Political Science, was interviewed on “Abe's Legacy in Japan and Beyond" by NHK World-Japan. The abstract reads: “Historians, political scientists, and pundits are debating the legacy of former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. And they're reconsidering how his policies have influenced the current prime minister, Kishida Fumio. Professor Emeritus Gerald Curtis of Columbia University has researched Japanese politics for years.

Professor Takatoshi Ito, director of CJEB's Program on Public Pension and Sovereign Funds, professor at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, wrote the Project Syndicate article "Abe Shinzō’s Unmatched Legacy." Professor Ito states in the article that "As the longest-serving prime minister in the history of Japanese democracy, Abe Shinzō fundamentally transformed the country’s security doctrine and economic-policy trajectory.

The article states that "US President Joe Biden recently launched the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity, a new grouping aimed at ensuring that China does not gain economic leadership of the region.
